The moments of birth are something to be remembered as raw, real and emotional. After all, you are bringing a perfect little life into this world. Someone that you prayed and waited for. Someone thot you can love before you have even met.
The Rubinoff’s contacted me to document the home birth of their sweet baby boy. I was so excited… not only cause I LOVE births, but because this would be my first home birth. Yes, you read that right… 8 years of doing this and I have only done hospital births. I have longed for a home birth for the longest time, so this was something that had made my YEAR! Jeanette and Diego are so sweet, and are the most laid back couple I have met. Anything was going to go at this birth. The love between these two is so special and they have bond like no other. Jeanette was one bad ass!!! Just powering through all of her contractions and the pain like no other. She was so calm and collected in between her contractions. It was so calming and it’s like she was in a whole other world when she was in between those contractions. I mean the peaceful look on her face as so amazing to look at.
This was Jeanettes first birth and it was fast. I mean I have seen some births last up to 32 hours and end in a c-section. To be honest after seeing this home birth, I believe that hospitals almost force you to have a baby. I mean there were lulls in between her contractions that lasted minutes… sometimes they weren’t as consistent. But her body knew what to do. Jeanette listened to her body!!!! I feel like when this happens at the hospital, they push Pitocin on mom to “make” her buy contract. But after watching this amazing team just help Jeanette, I now feel like your body knows exactly what you need. She just needed a little rest in between some crazy contractions. Rest so her body could now make a way for this sweet baby boy to come into this world to meet his parents.
After only 15 minutes of hard, hard work, The Rubinoff’s finally got to meet their baby boy, Sebastian. What a perfect little miracle. I mean this will never get old to me. I love births so much!!!
